Masha Sardari is my name and I’m 18 years old. Since January 2010, I’ve been a self-taught fine art photographer. I started with a project called 365 Days, which challenged me to take a photo every day of the year. Over the course of the year, I developed a unique style that included a square format with deep colors and mysterious events. My work began with mostly self-portraits, but I eventually incorporated other models. The shift in my work allowed me to have more freedom, as I could manipulate concepts and compositions better.
My inspiration comes from many sources, from childhood memories to Renaissance art. To create drama and tension, I use painterly effects in my photography and lighting that is based on psychology. My photography is a window to the inner world of mind.
