Showrav Chowdhury is a native of Habiganj in Bangladesh. Currently I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree, while also pursuing photography. As a child of a middle class family, it was difficult to pursue my passion for photography. In 2019, I began my journey into the worlds of photography when I completed the Shahjalal University Photographers’ Association’s Basic Photography Course.
It wasn’t till the end of 2020, however, that I really grasped the art of photography. As I didn’t have my own camera, I was forced to use my father’s phone. Over time, I became immersed in street photography. I am dedicated to growing and learning every day. I draw inspiration from all sources and share my knowledge with others. The continuous process I have been following has contributed significantly to my development as a photographer.
I have had the honor of having my work exhibited at numerous national and internationally. I won the Sylhet Photo Contest, organized by the Sylhet Photographic Society. FRSTHAND also awarded me the title of “The Best Shot of 2020”.
I was also selected as a Finalist for the Documentary Family Award for Season 11 in 2021-22, I received the Best Story Award for 2021, organized by the International Republican Institute.
